  • If you tell us what is your idea what to do and where to go in Mongolia, we design your trip program and discuss other details including flights, accommodation, transports, food, cost for trip etc.) Once everything is confirmed, we may ask you to fill simple form about you and submit us with a deposit of US $500 per person. On receipt of your deposit, we will send you confirmation of your booking along with details for the payment of the balance. Payment can be made by bank transfer, international money transfer services or VISA and MasterCard.


  • Based on detailed information about visa from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Maral Expedition will fully support you on your visa. For most f the countries who need visa, one-month visas can be obtained on the spot once you arrive at the airport or railway station. We will supply an official confirmation letter (by email or post) for your visa application once you book a trip with us.
  • There is no quarantine upon your arrival if you have vaccination certificate. You may just show your vaccine certificate that’s all!


  • When you arrive in Ulaanbaatar airport or train station, one of our representatives will pick up you with a board “Maral Expedition”.
  • General Mongolian people are known for their nomadic hospitality and they will make you feel very welcome. In the countryside, foreigners feel much safer because nomadic people have more respect for travelers Cities are mostly safe; however, as in other large cities, you may face some street crimes particularly in Ulaanbaatar and especially late at night.
  • Food:Most of the Mongolian cuisine contains meat in it. However, we will be happy to perpare something special for our vegan clients. Information should be provided prior to the trip


  • Food:In Ulaanbaatar, the restaurants are nice, you can find the most dishes you like. However, the trail rations may include vegetables, eggs, peanut butter, cheese and sometimes yak! On some days there will be lunchboxes from tourist camps as there are no camps or eating places on the journey. It is good food and our experience has been that guests are happy with.


  • Accommodation: If you are staying in Ulaanbaatar, you will be accommodated in a 3 to a 5-star hotel. There are other options to place in the hostel/guesthouse as well. During any trips around the country, you will be camping in tents and in a traditional Mongolian Ger. We offer accommodations that are personally checked by our staff to ensure the required standards.
  • Transportation: Maral Expedition use the highest level, latest model, air-conditioned private vans or 4WD vehicles for the maximum comfort on your touring days. Standard a day's drive in the countryside will be approx. 200-250 km and it takes 3-6 hours.
  • Insurance: Travel insurance is compulsory for Maral Expedition travelers and should be taken out at the time of booking. We recommend that our tour participants purchase a standard travel insurance policy that covers you for unexpected events that could cause you to cancel or interrupt your vacation, unexpected delays, medical assistance, loss of or damage to baggage.

• If you are already in Mongolia, paying in cash (Mongolian Tögrög or USD) is often acceptable for small businesses.Tips:

• Always confirm the payment details directly with the service provider to avoid fraud.

• Keep all receipts or confirmation emails for your records.

• Check the refund or cancellation policy before making the payment.

• Wise is especially useful for international transfers, as it offers lower fees and good exchange rates.

• Many reputable Mongolian tour companies accept Visa, Mastercard, or other major cards for payments.

• Be sure to notify your bank about international transactions to avoid issues.

• For smaller businesses or operators without online payment systems, you can use Western Union or MoneyGram to send payments directly.
