20 – 21 March / Nauryz Spring festival

Explore and celebrate with us the amazing Nauryz festival in march in Western Mongolia!.

You will have the opportunity to see that interesting muslim minority in Western Mongolia that will celebrate in march the ancient Persian New Year. You will see the ancient Kazakh games passed from father to son, a traditional music and a theatre show and all the small city of Bayan-Ulgii celebrate and eat together for that special day.

11:00-13:00 Fox Skin
The real test of a hunter’s ability, Eagles must catch a fox skin dragged behind their trainer’s horse.

13:00-14:00 Break for lunch

14:00-15:00 Fox Skin

15:00-16:00 Kyz Kuar

A race between a man and woman on horseback

14:00-16:00 Bushkashi –

Tug of war played on horseback with killed goat, common throughout Central Asia

16:00-17:30 Tiyn Teru –

Riders compete to pick up flags or flowers from the ground during the race

18:30 Ethno-Concert with traditional music and dance.
